Greylock Federal Credit Union’s 90th Annual Meeting will be held at Berkshire Hills Country Club, 500 Benedict Road, Pittsfield, MA 01201 on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Board Chair Peter Lopez and President/CEO John Bissell will review highlights from 2024, and CFO Michael King will report on Greylock’s financial condition. Copies of the 2024 Annual Report will be distributed. This year’s meeting will also include an election for Greylock’s Volunteer Board of Directors. The slate of candidates for this year’s election include: *Krystle Blake, incumbent; *Tyrone Jackson, incumbent; *Brett Random, incumbent; *Stanley Walczyk, incumbent; and **Shelby Williamson, nominated by petition. Additional information on each candidate is available below.
*Incumbents were nominated by the Nominating Committee. Greylock Federal Credit Union bylaws state that there will be no nominations from the floor and no members shall be entitled to vote by proxy.**Nominated by petition in accordance with Greylock Federal Credit Union bylaws.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. A shuttle service will be available between Berkshire Hills and the designated overflow parking area. Reservations are not required but encouraged.
As a reminder, only Members 18 and older can vote and they must also have a validated membership, which consists of a Primary Share Account with a minimum of $5.
For those who would like to submit their ballot via express voting or for those unable to attend the meeting, please know that express voting will be available starting at 4:30-5:45 p.m.
Incumbent
Krystle Blake joined the board in May 2018. She currently serves as the Secretary/Financial officer of the board, chairs the Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO) and serves on the Community Support and Governance Committees. She also served as a member of the Supervisory Committee from 2020-2023.
Krystle relocated to the Berkshires nearly thirteen years ago to begin her career at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where she currently works as an Engineering Technical Manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, and an MBA from the UMass Isenberg School of Management.
In the community, Krystle is a member of the Berkshire United Way Board of Directors, serves on the Pittsfield Economic Development Authority Board, and teaches dance fitness classes at Berkshire Yoga Dance and Fitness. Krystle is also a Berkshire Leadership Program (BLP) graduate and previously served on the BLP Steering Committee from 2014-2021. As a community leader and volunteer, Krystle was recognized in the inaugural Berkshire County 40 Under Forty class in 2016 and was named the 2018 “Under 40 Change-Maker” at the Berkshire Trendsetter Awards. She lives in Pittsfield with her husband, Carlton, and their cat, Binx.
Krystle brings a unique blend of personal history, professional expertise, and a strong commitment to our community. Growing up in Schenectady, NY, and now working at a former General Electric site, she has close ties to the legacy and values that have shaped our region. As a young professional and leader, she offers a fresh generational perspective that can help bridge the gap between our diverse membership and the evolving financial landscape. Krystle is excited to continue building a stronger, more inclusive financial future for our community as a member of the Board of Directors.
Incumbent
Ty joined the board in November 2015 and currently chairs the Community Support Committee and serves on the Loan Policy Committee. He is a board manager for the Greylock Technology Group. Ty is the founder of Ty Allan Jackson LLC and co-founder of Read or Else. His books have been featured on CNN, NBC, PBS, and other news outlets, and were gifted to former First Lady Michelle Obama. A Bronx, NY native, Ty now lives in Fresno, CA, where he continues to create entertaining and educational content that inspires young readers.

Incumbent
Brett Random joined the Board in 2023. Brett is a Social Work and Business professional who has spent her career serving Berkshire County in a variety of roles working in mission-driven organizations. With a solid base in the capacity of family and community-centered work, her leadership practices reflect a strength-based framework that promotes the power of differences and supports community resilience.
Appointed by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women as a Commonwealth Heroine and recognized in the Berkshire Eagle in honor of Women’s History Month in March 2024, Brett is celebrated as a leader, mentor, and innovator in our community. In addition to her role as Executive Director for Berkshire County Head Start, Brett is the Founder and Lead Consultant of Top Tier Leadership Consulting. Additionally, she volunteers her time with various organizations, including the Department of Transitional Assistance Advisory Committee and the DCF Advisory Board. Previously, Brett has served as a mentor for the Rites of Passage and Empowerment Program, was a member of the Community Development Advisory Committee at Greylock Credit Union, participated in Mayor Tyer’s Advisory Council for the American Rescue Plan, and was a committee member for the Berkshire Compact for Education.
Brett is currently pursuing a credential in Whole Community Leadership and holds a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Children, Families, and Society from MCLA. She also earned a master’s degree in Social Work from Westfield State University and a certification in Organizational Leadership from Harvard Business School.

I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for re-election to the Board of Directors of Greylock Federal Credit Union. As the Executive Director of Berkshire County Head Start, I have dedicated myself to providing our community with essential resources, including access to education, healthcare, and financial literacy. My work and involvement in various advisory councils has allowed me to stay attuned to the needs of local residents, giving me a unique perspective to contribute to board discussions and decision-making processes. Additionally, having grown up in a family that faced economic challenges, I have personally witnessed how financial empowerment can transform lives—helping families overcome obstacles and build a brighter future.
My experience in community leadership, strategic planning, and building partnerships will allow me to make continued, meaningful contributions to the growth of Greylock Federal Credit Union and help support its vision of being a leading force for financial inclusion in the communities we serve. I am dedicated to advancing the mission of providing affordable financial services to every member of our community, including those who have historically been excluded from traditional banking systems. I am passionate about ensuring that credit union services reach all corners of our community and uphold the values of care, education, and inspiration for members—from young families to seniors, and everyone in between. Together, we can continue advancing Greylock Federal Credit Union’s mission of innovation and financial wellness, ensuring every member has the tools they need to thrive financially. Incumbent
Stan joined the board in November 2011. He was Chairman from 2018-2023 and is now on the Community Support, Governance & Bylaws, and Loan Policy Committees. A Massachusetts College of Pharmacy graduate (1975). He was the President of O’Laughlin’s Home Care Pharmacy which was acquired by and now operates as Market 32 Price Chopper Pharmacy. Stan was also President of the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy and the MA Pharmacist Association, and a member of the National Association of Retail Druggists. He was appointed as a Trustee of Berkshire Community College by the Governor, serving two five-year terms, and was also appointed by the Governor to the Massachusetts Drug Formulary Commission. Stan is a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus council 411 in Dalton and served as Chairman of the board on the St Agnes parish council. Additionally, he is a past President of the Dalton Rotary Club and resides in Dalton with his wife Paula. They have two grown children, Kate and John.

Shelby A. Williamson, a lifelong Pittsfield resident, graduated from Taconic High School in 1987. Growing up in a family with deep ties to the banking industry, Shelby was introduced to the world of finance at a young age through his father, James, who played a significant role at Berkshire Bank during the 1970s and 1980s. This early exposure fostered Shelby’s lifelong passion for mathematics and numbers.
Shelby’s professional journey is defined by his distinguished career with the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department working at the Berkshire County Jail and House of Corrections, where his exceptional work ethic, leadership, and dedication allowed him to advance through the ranks. Retiring in 2020 as Primary Captain, he left behind a legacy of service and commitment. During his tenure, Shelby honed valuable supervisory skills that now inform his approach to leadership and decision-making. He continues to contribute to the Sheriff's Office through various community roles, including providing security for Greylock branches and supporting officer details across Berkshire County. Shelby also remains an active member of the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, representing the department at community events.
In addition to his service in law enforcement, Shelby has been a member of the Mycom Federal Credit Union Board of Directors since 2022, where he served as Vice Chairman and on the Personnel Committee. Shelby resigned from the Mycom Board of Directors in February 2025 to pursue a position on the Greylock Federal Credit Union Board of Directors.
A dedicated family man, Shelby, and his wife Heather, are proud to have raised their family in Pittsfield. They enjoy spending time with their three granddaughters and their spirited English Bulldog, Louie. Shelby’s deep-rooted commitment to service, coupled with his strong community ties, makes him an ideal candidate to serve on the Board of Directors of Greylock Federal Credit Union.
