President Marilyn L. Sperling thanked campaign chairs Assistant Vice President – Kellogg Street Branch Manager Terry Gardner and Elm Street Branch Manager Tony Hyte; along with campaign committee members Relationship Development Officer Dan Dillon, Assistant Branch Manager – Williamstown Branch Anna Flynn and Business Banking Officer Brad Felix from Greylock Federal Credit Union and Senior Account Manager – North Adams Kathy Chenail from Greylock Insurance Agency for their efforts in coordinating fun events to encourage employee participation.

Sperling acknowledged the many ways United Way supports Berkshire County. “I am proud of my entire team for their support of the Berkshire United Way and for making generous personal donations, especially during these difficult economic times. It demonstrates how eager we are to help support the important work the United Way does in our community.”

Greylock also donated the services of Investment Officer Tim Scott through the Workplace Campaign Executives Program at the United Way during the campaign fund drive last fall.

This giveaway also marked the 13th year that Greylock Federal Credit Union and Johnson Ford Lincoln Mercury Nissan have sponsored the drawing which allows the winner to choose between a new car or cash. The Berkshire Chamber After-Hours event was held at Greylock Federal Credit Union on January 16 where the winner was chosen. The winner of the car was Darlene Pshenishny from Berkshire Health Systems. "I was very surprised and didn't believe it at first," said Darlene, who opted for the $10,000 cash payment and anticipates using it towards some bills resulting from the new house she and her husband recently built.

Tary Johnson of Johnson Ford Lincoln Mercury Nissan announced that they are thrilled to continue the tradition going forward in 2014.
